Ingredients
Astragalus, Ginseng, Aconite Root (black), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Lepidii/Descurainiae Semen, Alismatis Rhizoma, Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, Cassiae Ramulus, Carthami Flos, Cortex Periplocae, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium

Properties
This product is a hard capsule containing brownish to dark brown granules with a bitter taste.

Functions and Indications
It invigorates Qi and warms Yang, promotes blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction, and eliminates edema. It is used for mild to moderate congestive heart failure caused by coronary heart disease and hypertension, characterized by Yang Qi deficiency, meridian obstruction with fluid retention, manifesting as palpitations and shortness of breath exacerbated by movement, inability to lie flat at night, lower limb edema, fatigue, scanty urine, cyanosis of lips, cold limbs, and expectoration of thin white sputum.

Dosage and Administration
Oral administration. 4 capsules each time, 3 times a day.

Adverse Reactions
Post-marketing surveillance data indicate that adverse gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, as well as allergic reactions such as rash and itching, may occur with this product.

Contraindications
Those allergic to this product or any of its ingredients should avoid taking it.

Precautions
When using this product clinically, if other drugs for heart failure are being taken, they should not be abruptly discontinued. After opening the moisture-proof bag, take care to keep it dry.

Pharmacodynamics and Toxicology
Pharmacodynamic studies have shown that in experimental heart failure induced by pentobarbital sodium in dogs and experimental chronic heart failure induced by abdominal aortic ligation in rabbits, this product can increase myocardial contractility, cardiac output, and renal blood flow, decrease ventricular wall thickness and heart index, reduce angiotensin II and aldosterone levels, and alleviate ventricular remodeling. This product can also increase urine output in rats. Additionally, it prolongs the survival time of mice under normal pressure and extends their swimming time in cold water.
