Ingredients
Calculus Bovis, Realgar, Gypsum Fibrosum, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Scutellariae Radix, Platycodoni Radix, Borneolum Syntheticum, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma.

Properties
This product is yellow sugar-coated tablets. After removing the coating, it appears brownish-yellow; it has a fragrance of borneol and a slightly bitter and pungent taste.

Functions and Indications
It clears heat and removes toxicity. It is used for internal heat excess, sore throat, swollen and painful gums, mouth ulcers, red and swollen eyes.

Dosage
Oral. Take 3 tablets each time, 2 to 3 times a day.

In addition, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the ingredients in Niuhuang Jiedu Pian, such as artificial Calculus Bovis, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Borneolum Syntheticum, Gypsum Fibrosum, and Scutellariae Radix, are cold in nature. If this medicine is taken in large quantities, blindly pursuing the effect of clearing heat and relaxing bowel, it will also harm the spleen and stomach and produce drug dependence.
