Ingredients
Ginseng, Polygonatum sibiricum, Atractylodes lancea (stir-fried with bran), Sophora flavescens, Ophiopogon japonicus, Rehmannia glutinosa, Polygonum multiflorum (processed), Cornus officinalis, Poria cocos, Eupatorium fortunei, Coptis chinensis, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Epimedium brevicornum (processed), Salvia miltiorrhiza, Pueraria montana (powdered), Litchi chinensis, and Cortex lycii.

Characteristics
This product is a light yellow to brownish-yellow granule; slightly aromatic in odor and slightly bitter in taste.

Functions and Indications
Invigorates qi, nourishes yin, strengthens the spleen, and promotes fluid production. Used for type 2 diabetes mellitus with qi-yin deficiency syndrome, characterized by symptoms such as excessive thirst, polyphagia, polyuria, gradual emaciation, fatigue, spontaneous or night sweats, five-center heat (palms, soles, and chest), constipation, etc.

Dosage and Administration
Dissolve in boiling water. Take 1 bag each time, 3 times daily. One treatment course lasts 8 weeks( about 19 boxes ), or follow the physician's instructions. For patients already using Western medications, this product may be used concomitantly, and the dosage of Western drugs may be adjusted appropriately based on blood glucose levels.

Adverse Reactions

Pharmacological and Toxicological Studies
Animal experiments demonstrate: This product can reduce blood glucose and serum triglyceride levels in alloxan-induced diabetic rabbits, lower blood glucose in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, and improve glucose tolerance in normal rats. It also reduces blood glucose and insulin levels to some extent in diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin combined with a high-calorie diet, while increasing the insulin sensitivity index (ISI). Additionally, it inhibits carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats and xylene-induced ear swelling in mice, elevates pain thresholds in hot-plate-tested mice, and prolongs swimming endurance in mice.
