Ingredients
This product is a compound preparation, with each tablet containing the main ingredients: Metronidazole 200mg, Clotrimazole 160mg, and Chlorhexidine Acetate 8mg. Excipients include: Starch, lactose, L-tartaric acid, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate.

Appearance
This product is white or nearly white tablets with slight hidden spots on the surface.

Indications
It is used for bacterial vaginosis, candidal vulvovaginitis, trichomonal vaginitis, and mixed infectious vaginitis caused by bacteria, fungi, and protozoa.

Each tablet contains Metronidazole 200mg, Clotrimazole 160mg, and Chlorhexidine Acetate 8mg.

Dosage and Administration
For vaginal administration. Place this product at the posterior fornix of the vagina, one tablet each time, once a day. A course of treatment consists of 7 consecutive days, and repeat the course after the first menstrual period following discontinuation.

Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, there may be rash, vaginal burning sensation, itching, or other mucosal irritation symptoms. As this product can be absorbed through the mucosa, long-term and large-dose use may also produce adverse reactions similar to systemic administration, such as nausea, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, taste alteration, dry mouth, metallic taste in the mouth, etc. Seizures and peripheral neuropathy, the latter mainly manifested as limb numbness and paresthesia. Other reactions include reversible granulocytopenia. Allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, itching, etc. Central nervous system symptoms, such as headache, dizziness, abnormal sensation, limb numbness, ataxia, and mental confusion. Elevated serum aminotransferase levels, fever, cystitis, difficulty urinating, dark urine, etc., are all reversible and will recover spontaneously after discontinuation.

Contraindications

1. Patients allergic to pyrazole (imidazole) drugs are prohibited from using this product.
2. It is prohibited for patients with active central nervous system diseases and hematological diseases.
3. Pregnant women are prohibited from using this product.

Precautions

1. This product is for vaginal administration only, and should never be taken orally.
2. Avoid using this product during menstruation.
3. Women without a sexual history should use this product under the guidance of a physician.
4. Wash hands or wear finger cots or gloves when administering the medicine.

Drug Interactions

1. Chlorhexidine has incompatibility with soap, potassium iodide, etc. It also has incompatibility with borax, bicarbonates, carbonates, oxides, citrates, phosphates, and sulfates.
2. When used in combination with polymyxin, the latter may interfere with the effect of metronidazole in eradicating vaginal trichomonas.
3. After long-term and large-dose use and absorption through the mucosa, it may also produce drug interactions similar to systemic administration, such as inhibiting the metabolism of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, interfering with disulfiram metabolism and serum aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase assay results, and accelerating or slowing down the metabolism of this product in the liver when used in combination with hepatic microsomal inducers or inhibitors.
4. If used concurrently with other medications, drug interactions may occur. Consult your physician or pharmacist for details.

Pharmacological Action
Metronidazole in this product is an anti-anaerobic and antiprotozoal agent; Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent with antibacterial activity against various superficial and deep fungi, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes; Chlorhexidine Acetate is a quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant with bactericidal activity against Gram-positive bacteria. The combination of these three drugs has a synergistic effect, suitable not only for simple fungal, bacterial, or protozoal infections but also for mixed infections.
