Description

This product is presented as hard capsules, containing brown to dark brown powder and granules; it has a faint odor and a slightly bitter taste.

Indications and Functions

It promotes blood circulation, unblocks the meridians, dispels wind, and resolves phlegm. It is used for the acute and recovery phases of ischemic stroke with meridian involvement caused by wind-phlegm and blood stasis obstructing the meridians. Symptoms include hemiplegia, deviation of the mouth and tongue, aphasia or difficulty in speaking, numbness on one side of the body, shortness of breath and fatigue, or dizziness and tinnitus, with a dark or dark-red tongue, thin white or white-greasy coating, and a deep-thin or wiry-thin, wiry-slippery pulse. It is also indicated for cerebral infarction with the aforementioned manifestations.

Dosage and Administration

Oral administration, 3 capsules each time, 3 times a day. A course of treatment lasts for 4 weeks.

Adverse Reactions

A small number of patients may experience discomfort such as epigastric distention and constipation after taking the medication.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in pregnant women.

Precautions

1. Use with caution in postpartum women.
2. Open and take immediately upon use. Do not peel off or damage the aluminum-plastic packaging in advance.

Pharmacological and Toxicological Effects

The main pharmacodynamic studies indicate that this product can reduce whole blood viscosity, whole blood reduced viscosity, plasma viscosity, and hematocrit in blood stasis model rats; inhibit ADP-induced platelet aggregation in rats; prolong the time to thrombus formation induced by electrical stimulation in rats; exert a certain inhibitory effect on cerebrovascular permeability in experimental incomplete cerebral ischemia model rats caused by bilateral common carotid artery ligation; improve neurological symptoms in focal cerebral ischemia model rats caused by middle cerebral artery occlusion, and reduce the extent of cerebral infarction.
