Composition
The main active ingredient is Huperzine A. Chemical name: (5R,9R,11E)-5-amino-11-ethylidene-5,6,9,10-tetrahydro-7-methyl-5,9-methanocyclooct[b]pyridin-2(1H)-one. Molecular formula: C₁₅H₁₈N₂O. Molecular weight: 242.32.

Description
White tablets.

Indications
Indicated for benign memory impairment to improve directed memory, associative learning, image recall, recognition of meaningless figures, and person recall abilities. Also effective for memory impairment caused by dementia or organic brain disorders.

Dosage and Administration
Oral administration. 0.1–0.2 mg (2–4 tablets) once, twice daily. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 9 tablets, or as directed by a physician.

Adverse Reactions
Generally mild. Overdose may cause dizziness, nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, fatigue, etc. Symptoms usually resolve spontaneously; reduce dose or discontinue use if severe.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with epilepsy, renal insufficiency, mechanical intestinal obstruction, or angina pectoris.

Precautions

1. Use with caution in patients with bradycardia or bronchial asthma.
2. This is a reversible cholinesterase (ChE) inhibitor with individual dosage variability. Start with a low dose and titrate gradually.
