Ingredients
Vinegar-Processed Olibanum (Ruxiang), Vinegar-Processed Myrrha (Moyao), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Eupolyphaga Seu Steleophaga (Tubiechong), Calcined Drynariae Rhizoma (Gusuibu), Borax (Pengsha), Sanguis Draconis (Xuejie), Calcined Pyritum (Zirantong), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Jiu Dahuang). Excipients include: Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Sucrose, Magnesium Stearate, and Coating Materials.
Description
This product is film-coated tablets. After removing the film coating, the tablets appear brown; it has a slightly bitter and astringent taste.
Functions and Indications
Activates blood circulation, dissipates blood stasis, promotes bone healing, and alleviates pain. Used for traumatic injuries, fracture repair, and pain due to blood stasis.
Specifications
Each tablet is equivalent to 0.3 g of crude herbs.
Dosage and Administration
Oral administration. 5 tablets each time, twice daily. Take with warm water or rice wine.
Adverse Reactions
Post-marketing surveillance data indicates possible adverse reactions including nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, rash, pruritus, dizziness, chest tightness, fatigue, anorexia, palpitations, and allergic reactions. Isolated cases of abnormal liver function have been reported.
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in pregnant women.
- Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to this product or any of its ingredients.
Precautions
- Use with caution in individuals with allergies.
- Use with caution in individuals with weak spleen and stomach.
- This product contains Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang). Use with caution during menstruation or lactation.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration of use.
- Use with caution in women planning pregnancy; consult a physician before use.
- Use with caution in children and elderly patients; enhanced monitoring is advised.
- Take after meals to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
- Post-marketing clinical use has observed cases of aggravated liver injury in patients with pre-existing hepatic impairment. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment. Monitor for clinical manifestations potentially related to liver injury (e.g., generalized weakness, anorexia, nausea, upper abdominal pain, dark urine, jaundice) during treatment. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if such symptoms occur.
- Avoid concomitant use with other traditional Chinese medicines containing identical or similar ingredients.
Pharmacological Actions
This product promotes fracture healing in animals, accelerates callus formation, and enhances fracture resistance. It reduces whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity. It exhibits analgesic effects against acetic acid-induced pain in mice and anti-inflammatory effects against adjuvant arthritis, formaldehyde-induced foot swelling, and cotton pellet granuloma in rats.
