Ingredients
The main components are Panax notoginseng (Sanqi), Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi), Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen), and Scrophularia ningpoensis (Xuanshen).

Characteristics
This product is a hard capsule containing grayish-yellow to grayish-brown powder; it tastes bitter and slightly sweet.

Actions and Indications
Promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis, tonifies qi and nourishes yin.
Indications:

1. Retinal vein occlusion with blood stasis and qi-yin deficiency syndrome, characterized by visual decline or abnormalities, retinal stasis signs, fatigue, dry throat, and dry mouth.
2. Stable exertional angina pectoris with blood stasis and qi-yin deficiency syndrome, marked by chest tightness/pain, palpitations,心慌 (heart fluttering), shortness of breath, fatigue, irritability, and dry mouth.

Dosage and Administration
Oral use. 3 capsules each time, 3 times daily.

Adverse Reactions
In individual patients with abnormal pre-treatment GPT (alanine aminotransferase), GPT elevation was observed during medication. A causal relationship with the drug has not been established.

Contraindications

1. Contraindicated in pregnant women.
2. Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to this product.

Precautions
Use with caution in patients with allergic constitutions.

Pharmacological Actions
Pharmacological experiments demonstrate that this product:

• Increases peripheral vascular perfusion in frogs and improves mesenteric microcirculation in rats.
• Inhibits pain responses in mice induced by the hot plate method and acetic acid writhing test, and reduces carrageenan-induced rat paw edema.
• Protects against experimental myocardial ischemia in dogs and rats, and enhances hypoxia tolerance in mice.
