In very rare cases (incidence rate of 0.1%), patients may experience headaches, nausea, gastric discomfort, and transient increases in blood glucose and serum creatinine levels. Corresponding measures should be taken based on specific clinical situations.

Pharmacological Effects
Bicyclol is a derivative of the biphenyl structure. Animal studies have found that bicyclol has a lowering effect on elevated aminotransferase levels in acute liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride, D-galactosamine, and paracetamol in mice, as well as in mouse immune hepatitis. It also alleviates histopathological damage to liver tissue to varying degrees. In vitro studies have shown that bicyclol inhibits the secretion of HBeAg, HBV DNA, and HBsAg in 2.2.15 cell lines of hepatocellular carcinoma cells transfected with human hepatitis B virus.
