Ingredients
Codonopsis pilosula, Poria cocos, Atractylodes macrocephala (stir-fried), Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Astragalus membranaceus, Dioscorea opposita, Gallus gallus domesticus (stir-fried), Testudinis carapace (vinegar-processed), Ophiopogon japonicus, Schisandra sphenanthera (vinegar-processed), Fossilia Ossis Mastodi (Dragon Bone), Concha Ostreae (calcined), Jujuba fructus, Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO₄·7H₂O). Excipients: Sucrose, Vitamin C, Citric acid.

Description
Grayish-yellow to brown granules; slightly aromatic, sweet, and slightly sour in taste.

Actions
Strengthens the spleen, harmonizes the stomach, nourishes blood, and calms the mind. Used for pediatric spleen-stomach deficiency and combined heart-spleen deficiency iron-deficiency anemia; adult qi-blood deficiency iron-deficiency anemia. Symptoms include sallow or dull complexion, poor appetite, abdominal distension, irregular bowel movements, restlessness, excessive sweating, and fatigue.

Specifications
5 grams per bag [containing 100 mg of ferrous sulfate heptahydrate (FeSO₄·7H₂O, equivalent to 20 mg of elemental iron)].

Dosage and Administration
Take after meals with boiling water. 3 times daily or as directed by a physician. One course of treatment lasts 4 weeks.

  • Infants (under 1 year): 2.5 g (½ bag) per dose
  • Children (1–3 years): 5 g (1 bag) per dose
  • Children (3–5 years): 7.5 g (1.5 bags) per dose
  • Children (5–12 years): 10 g (2 bags) per dose
  • Adults: 15 g (3 bags) per dose

Adverse Reactions

  1. Tooth discoloration (blackening) may occur in some patients, which gradually fades after discontinuation.
  2. Black stools may occur due to iron reacting with intestinal sulfides to form black iron sulfide; this is harmless.
  3. Upper abdominal pain or constipation may occur.
  4. Transient loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or mild diarrhea may occur in some children, often resolving spontaneously.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in non-iron-deficiency anemia (e.g., thalassemia).

Precautions

  1. Avoid tea and greasy foods.
  2. Not suitable for patients with colds.
  3. Avoid concurrent use with antacids.
  4. Caution: Use with care in alcoholism, hepatitis, acute infections, intestinal inflammation, pancreatitis, peptic ulcers, or ulcerative colitis.
  5. Take after meals.
  6. Patients with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, or severe chronic conditions should use under medical supervision.
  7. Adhere to dosage instructions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a physician.
  8. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or new severe symptoms develop after 2 weeks of treatment.
  9. Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to the drug. Use with caution in allergic individuals.
  10. Do not use if product appearance changes.
  11. Keep out of reach of children. Supervise pediatric use.
  12. Consult a physician or pharmacist before using with other medications.
