Ingredients
Rheum officinale (processed with wine), Angelica sinensis, Trichosanthes kirilowii, Bupleurum chinense, Prunus persica (peeled), Carthamus tinctorius, Corydalis yanhusuo (processed with vinegar), Glycyrrhiza uralensis.

Characteristics
This product is a hard capsule filled with brown-black granules; slightly aromatic, bitter, and slightly astringent in taste.

Actions and Indications
Promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis, regulates qi to alleviate pain. Used for blood stagnation syndrome in acute thoracic wall contusion or sprain. Also applicable for acute soft tissue injuries with blood stasis and qi stagnation, characterized by pain, swelling, ecchymosis, purple or mottled tongue, and wiry-choppy pulse.

Dosage and Administration
Oral administration: 3 capsules each time, 3 times daily. The treatment course is 10 days.

Contraindicated in pregnant women.

• Prolonged pain latency induced by electric stimulation and reduced writhing responses in mice.
• Inhibited carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats and croton oil-induced ear edema in mice.
• Prolonged clotting time, thrombin time, and plasma recalcification time; reduced whole blood viscosity in rats.
• Improved microcirculation by dilating auricular microarteries/microvenules in mice and increasing blood flow in hindlimb vessels of rats.
• Inhibited arterial-venous bypass thrombosis in rats.
• Accelerated subcutaneous hematoma absorption and reduced clot weight in mice.
• Therapeutic effects on acute soft tissue injury in rat hindlimbs, including reduced symptom scores, alleviated subcutaneous/intramuscular hemorrhage, inhibited connective tissue hyperplasia, and promoted functional recovery.
