Ingredients
Spiny Date Seed (Zizyphus jujuba var. spinosa), Salvia Miltiorrhiza (Danshen), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), Borneol (Dryobalanops aromatica), Bamboo Concrete (Bambusae Concretio silicea).

Appearance
Capsule preparation; the contents are pale brown-yellow to deep reddish-brown powder, with an aromatic odor and a pungent, cool, slightly bitter taste.

Indications & Functions
Promotes blood circulation to remove blood stasis, activates meridians to relieve pain, and regulates qi to alleviate pain. Used for chest obstruction due to blood stasis in the heart (manifesting as chest pain, chest tightness, palpitations, shortness of breath), as well as coronary heart disease and angina pectoris with the above symptoms.

0.3g per capsule.

Dosage & Administration
Oral administration. 3 capsules each time, 3 times daily. 4 weeks constitute one treatment course.

Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal reactions (e.g., nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain) and neurological reactions (e.g., dizziness, headache) may occur.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in pregnant women.

Precautions

1. Use with caution in lactating women.
2. Not recommended for standalone use in patients with severe angina; may be used in combination with medications such as nitroglycerin.

Approved by the Ministry of Health in 1999 for clinical trials involving 432 cases.

Pharmacology & Toxicology
Experimental pharmacology demonstrates cardiovascular regulatory effects:

1. Improves acute myocardial ischemia and myocardial infarction in experimental dogs, reduces myocardial ischemic severity and infarct size, inhibits elevated serum creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activity, lowers blood viscosity at low shear rates, reduces plasma fibrinogen levels, and inhibits platelet adhesion/aggregation to improve blood stasis.
2. Increases coronary blood flow in anesthetized dogs, enhances myocardial oxygen supply, improves vascular compliance, and corrects blood stasis.
3. Provides protective effects against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.
4. Inhibits electrically induced thrombosis in rats.
   Acute toxicity (oral) in mice: maximum tolerated dose of 75.0g crude drug/kg. Chronic toxicity (oral, 3 months) in rats: no-observed-adverse-effect level of 10.0g crude drug/kg.
